Dress Code



Member’s Dining Room

The Member’s Dining Room maintains a Business Casual environment at all times.  The following outlines minimum dress standards for the space.

For gentleman:

  • Business suits
  • Dress shirt with dress slacks
  • Jackets and ties are recommended but not required
  • Knit or casual shirts with collars
  • Dress Shoes

For ladies:

  • Pant suits or business suits
  • Dresses/skirts with blouses
  • Casual slacks
  • Casual skirts and dresses
  • Dress shoes

Denim of any kind is not permitted at any time in the Member’s Dining Room. No exceptions.

 

Riverview Grill

The Riverview Grill maintains a Smart Casual dress code at all times.  Business Casual is preferred, but the following minimum dress standards are permitted.

  • Appropriate denim
    • The Club defines appropriate denim as: not faded or bleached, baggy, dirty or torn.  Denim with writing, slogans of any kind or excessive embellishments is not permitted.
  • Appropriate sports team jerseys and fan clothing (on “game days” only)
    • Sporting attire must fit appropriately and may not feature foul or taunting language.
  • Dress shorts/skorts
  • Casual shoes
  • T-shirts and collarless shirts
    • Shirts cannot feature inappropriate language or images.  All men’s shirts must have sleeves
 

Private Event Rooms

Persons using the private event rooms are expected to conform to the Club’s dress code.  It shall be the responsibility of the Member or host of a private event to inform guests of the need to arrive at the Club wearing appropriate attire.  All events must adhere to the minimum standard of dress upheld in the Riverview Grill.

 

Unacceptable attire in the Club at all times

  • Athletic wear (jogging suits, sweat suits, exposed sports bras)
  • Hats are not permitted to be worn in the Club and may be checked at the front desk
  • Flip-flops or casual sandals
  • Bare midriffs
  • Clothing with profanity, holes or ripped embellishments
  • Men: sleeveless shirts

 

**Nashville City Club management reserves the right to refuse service to any member or guest that it deems inappropriately dressed, regardless of dress code guidelines.
